New Client

Consultations

Booking Info

To get started with the legal process, all new clients need to book a consultation with our firm. The fee for the consultation is $150 CAD (+ tax) and the meeting includes 30 minutes with an associate (and a partner if needed). If you retain our firm within 30 days of your consultation, the fee will be credited towards future legal services at our firm (limit of one credit per client). The purpose of the consultation is to help you evaluate the overall fit with our firm, learn about the various legal methods available to you, and get a general idea about the estimated time and fees needed to resolve your legal issues. There is no obligation to retain us after the consultation, but we can move quickly with next steps if/when you are ready to move forward with our firm.

Questions?

Do you accept Legal Aid?

Unfortunately, we do not accept Legal Aid cases or issue Legal Aid Certificates. Please visit Legal Aid Ontario’s website for a list of lawyers who can help with this type of service.

Do you offer free consultations?

We do not offer free consultations; however, the consultation fee can be used as a credit towards future legal services with our firm (conditional that you retain our firm within 30 days of the consultation). If you are looking for a free consultation, please visit the Law Society of Ontario’s website for a list of lawyers who may be able to assist with this type of service.

What happens after I contact your firm?

You will be connected with our Client Service Manager who will assist you with the booking process. We will need to complete a conflict check and gather some basic information to ensure our firm is the right fit for your situation. Once complete, you will be able to book a consultation with your preferred lawyer (or the most suitable lawyer for your situation).

Are the consultations in person?

Our initial legal consultations are done over the phone on a secure and private line. We can also accommodate in person (at our office) or virtual (via Zoom) upon request. Please contact us for more details.

Is the consultation confidential?

All the information you share with our firm is strictly private and confidential. We will never share your information with your (ex)spouse or anyone else.
